How good are you at spotting a candidate who is telling porkies?

It seems this skill is one your client will thank you for in light of new research from careers site Adzuna.co.uk.

Adzuna’s research reveals more than a third (37%) of candidates admitted to lying on their CV at some stage in their career, while of those would-be Pinnochios, 83% still managed to get the job.

The research also shows 37% of job hunters are prepared to tell “a big lie” to bag their dream job, 83% of candidates who lied on their CV said their lies were never discovered and 43% stated that their lie even directly contributed to their success.

Although if these people are liars, can you believe a word that comes out of their mouths?
