Hotel chain Travelodge has announced plans to open 11 new hotel sites in Basildon, Brentwood, Canvey Island, Chelmsford, Colchester, Epping, Malden, Rayleigh, Southend-on-Sea and Waltham Abbey. 

The announcement coincides with the chain’s new hotel opening today at intu Lakeside shopping centre, which has created 21 new jobs.
