Recruiter takes a punt with Perfect Candidate

Bristol recruiter ISL Recruitment is entering a horse in this weekend’s Grand National.

The horse, naturally called Perfect Candidate currently at odds of 50/1 and ridden by jockey Paddy Brennan, is owned by city centre-based ISL Recruitment bosses father and son Geoffrey and Henry Keeys and Alan Furley, and is stabled at Fergal O’Brien Racing in Gloucestershire.

Keeys said: “We bought Perfect Candidate in 2012 and have been lucky enough to see him race and win quite a few times, but on the run up to last year’s National he was just pipped to post and came 42nd in the listing which meant he didn’t run.

The National is being screened on ITV on Saturday at 5.15pm.
