Bar staff required – no phones allowed

A Merseyside pub is recruiting for a role with a very specific requirement.

The Liverpool Echo reports the Mason Arms in Southport has taken to Facebook to advertise for part-time bar staff but with the requirement that applicants must be able to get through the shift without checking their phone.

The ad reads: ‘Part-time bar staff required. Various shifts available, approx 10 hours per week. Experience not necessary but a willingness to learn.

‘Non smoker preferred and must be able to complete a shift without checking social media, texting etc.

‘Wage dependent on age. If interested please send private message.’

Wonder if they’re allowed to do that on their phone…?
