MBO for Hunter Healthcare as founder exits business

Specialist healthcare recruitment business Hunter Healthcare has completed a management buyout, facilitated by private equity firm Agathos.

Since its inception in 2011, Hunter Healthcare has grown its revenues to £44m and developed offerings including senior interim and permanent roles in the NHS and the private healthcare sector.

Gavin Johnstone, CEO of the newly-formed Hunter Gatherer and founder of Hunter Healthcare, said: “This exit demonstrates the strength of our investment and operational guidance, enabling management teams to execute growth with scale and speed.”

Johnstone is exiting the Hunter Healthcare business.

Hunter Gatherer is a neo-venture capital company which invests in entrepreneurs with a proven track record in niched business disciplines.
