Statistics published yesterday (29 March) by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) shows that between August 2011 and this January, 256,500 people started apprenticeships.

Statistics published yesterday (29 March) by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) shows that between August 2011 and this January, 256,500 people started apprenticeships.

Broken down by age, 79,100 of these were people aged under 19, 77,100 aged between 19 and 24, while 100,300 were over-25s...
