Despite last week’s redundancies in the UK, the longer term outlook for the recruitment and employment market remains positive
Another bad week for the global economy. With job cuts by the thousand - from electrical engineering firms ABB and Invensys among others - the London Stock Exchange fell to its lowest level for two and a half years. Investors panicked that the downturn in technology was spreading to other sectors.
