Europe’s biggest healthcare trust has begun electronic trading in a bid to streamline the procurement of equipment for specialist cardiac treatment.
The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is trading with four key suppliers on the Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX), a US e-commerce platform supported by suppliers such as GE Medical Systems. GHX sends orders placed on the existing Oracle system in a standardised format directly to the supplier.
