'Responsible' BT takes top prize at profession's awards

Telecoms giant BT has taken away top honours in the 2003 CIPS Supply Management Awards.

The company, which won the best contribution to corporate responsibility category, was presented with the overall prize at the black-tie dinner at the London Hilton hotel, Park Lane.

Meryl Bushell, chief procurement officer at BT Group, said it was "great to have purchasing's contribution to the company recognised".
