Workers spend an average of 45 minutes every day having a good laugh, according to research by online entertainment channel MSN Video.

This seems high, even by David Brent standards. A study of 1,000 office employees found that women giggle more than men (or should that be at men?) and older workers are less likely to find things to chuckle about.
