Purchasers need to develop higher-level skills and a completely different mindset if they want to make it to the boardroom, says Robin Cammish
At least once a month, every purchasing manager will say to themselves: “If only procurement was represented on the board in my organisation, life would be so much easier. I’d have the management support and resources to deliver the savings and value that I know are possible. I could really make a difference.”
