Large firms worried about the security of their global supply chains cannot simply snap their fingers at local suppliers, argues Michael Quayle
Before 11 September, many large companies were maximising their opportunities to purchase goods and services globally. While this may have helped them to gain short-term competitive advantage, it has also created longer and more complex supply chains.
