The armed forces are fighting to fill recruitment quotas
With the 100th British soldier killed in Iraq this month and criticism of the war continuing, armed forces recruitment is facing hard times. Across the army, navy and air force, the recruitment target for 2005/6
is 18,763 people. Eight months in, only 63% of this has been met.
