RECRUITMENT PROCESS outsourcing (RPO) organisation Alexander Mann Solutions will host a ‘sourcing innovation summit’ on 21 March in London. The content will focus on the future direction of recruitment and the roles played by social recruiting, mobile apps, online consumer marketing and intelligence-led sourcing.
Sourcing is “today’s issue”, Jerry Collier, managing director of AMS’s source cloud sourcing engine programme, told Recruiter. “I think tomorrow’s issue is going to be employer brand. I believe strongly that if you try to put social recruiting and new world sourcing on top of an old recruiting infrastructure, it will fail. So you need the right infrastructure to put the new sourcing models in place. I think that is a ‘today, 2012, early 2013’ priority – to put the right sourcing infrastructure in place.
“But,” he went on to say, “the battleground is going to be over employer brand.”
Currently, the US is driving the “tools, techniques, the skills, the careers in sourcing, the thinking around careers in sourcing”, Collier acknowledged. “I think we [the UK] are firmly behind but coming fast.”
Matthew Jeffery, EMEA head of talent acquisition and global talent brand, Autodesk, will give the keynote address.
