South Yorkshire-based recruitment agency, Elevation Recruitment, has added a specialist engineering & manufacturing division following positive signs of economic growth within the sector and the region’s increased demand for operational and technical staff.

The new division will be run alongside the company’s established sectors of accountancy & finance, sales & marketing, search & selection and office support recruitment. The new division will be headed up by John Bowan, who brings extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of engineering & manufacturing, project management and health & safety sectors to the company.

Bowan’s team includes senior consultant Matthew Barwell, who has recently joined Elevation. Barwell has over seven years’ specialist experience in the engineering & manufacturing sector, having previously supplied technical and operational staff to clients ranging from global plcs to growing SMEs.

Joint managing director Greg Parkinson says: “We have seen encouraging signs of growth from within the engineering & manufacturing sectors: notably AES Seal, and the imminent arrival of both Siemens and Rolls Royce at the Advanced Manufacturing business park in Sheffield. We have responded to the needs of the market and those of our existing and new customers in setting up this new specialised division.”
