Legal recruiter Laurence Simons has appointed Guy Adams as lead director of its European Private Practice team.

Reporting to EMEA managing director, Adams also joins the firm’s UK Partner team, and will work to expand the firm’s European footprint in private practice.Adams joins from legal executive search firm Carmichael Fisher, where he established the company’s European legal practice.

He previously worked for legal recruiter Taylor Root where he managed the company’s international recruitment team, having entered recruitment following a career as a tax lawyer with Norton Rose, McGrigors and Reynolds Porter Chamberlain.
