Randstad Holding has announced that Gregory A Netland will not serve a second term on its executive board, with the Dutch firm intending to replace him with Linda Galipeau.
The decision to appoint Galipeau to an initial four-year term is subject to shareholder approval at the firm’s 29 March AGM.Galipeau joined Randstad US in 1995 as district manager, before starting the firm’s Canadian operations in 1997, and has been president of Randstad Staffing in the US since 2008.
Fritz Fröhlich, chairman of the supervisory board, says: “She is a great example of someone who has grown a career within Randstad, seizing opportunities when they present themselves and making a success of every challenge she met on the way.
“This appointment is in line with Randstad’s wish to fill 80% of its vacancies through the internal pipeline.”
Netland will leave the company, where he is responsible for the US, Mexico and Canada, shortly after the handover, allowing for a “smooth transition”, and has indicated that he wants to pursue other opportunities.
He joined Randstad’s executive board in 2008, having started his career at Sapphire Technologies, before the company merged into Select Appointments and then into Vedior.
