Engineering jobs board operator Jobsgroup.net has seen profit fall from £556,000 to £208,000 in the twelve months to 30 September 2011, despite a rise in turnover.

Turnover in the same period hit £937,000, up from the previous year’s £925,000, but the company’s accounts show it paid significantly more tax than in 2010.The company, founded in 2000, is owned by information and analytics firm Daily Mail and General Trust, and operates as part of its digital media division.

In the past year its staff headcount fell from nine to five.
