Recruiters not able to attend the AWR summit being held in London today will have an opportunity to actively participate.
The summit entitled AWR: The Aftermath, supported by Meridian Business Support, promises to be an informative and thought-provoking occasion.A high profile and influential panel, who are all familiar with the impact of this key piece of legislation will attend the summit, along with delegates. However, the summit has been designed so that those not actually in the room will play a key role.
The summit which, begins at 2pm at the Congress Centre in Great Russell Street will be streamed live, and people will be able to join in via Twitter and to ask questions of the panel.
Anyone wishing to join in can ask questions on Twitter by including the hash tag #awrsummit and can follow the live video stream provided via www.ustream.tv/channel/awrlive
The summit is being chaired by Recruiter magazine editor DeeDee Doke.
It will take the following format:
- 14.10-14.50: Panel introduce themselves
- 14.50-15.20: Panel answers questions that have been sent in by those not able to attend. Discussion and questions about issues that are trending in the AWR corporate LinkedIn Group created by Meridian Business Support
- 15.20-16.00: Open session of questions and discussion, conducted along the lines of BBC’s Question Time
- 16.00-16.15: Twitter questions to the panel and discussion
Delegates attending the event will be able to participate on an equal footing with the panel, along the same lines as the AWR corporate LinkedIn AWR Group created by Meridian Business Support.
The panelists are:
- David Camp, director of the Association of Labour Providers, GLA
- Debbie Dady, head of agency worker deployment at the Metropolitan Police
- DeeDee Doke (chair), editor, Recruiter magazine & recruiter.co.uk
- Don Flynn, director of the Migrants’ Rights Network
- Kevin Green, chief executive, Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC)
- Tim Johnson, principal, Tim Johnson Law
- Derek Kelly, managing director, Parasol Group
- Fiona McKay, managing director, Seminars and Solutions
