Barry Cullen has been appointed as partner, heading up solicitor Cramer Pelmont’s recruitment & resourcing sector services.

Cullen has 12 years’ recruitment experience, beginning his career as a resourcer with SThree-owned multi-sector recruiter Huxley Associates, before moving to Computer Personnel.Cullen says: “For too long lawyers working with recruiters have set a doom and gloom agenda and seen the industry as a cash cow, rather than showing recruiters where the opportunities arise to maximises profits and increase the value of their business.

“Recruiters should be insisting their lawyers are not just a cost drain, particularly in a maturing marketplace with ever increasing pressure being exerted on agency margins… If they can’t, agencies might be better advised to buy their legal services off the shelf.”
