Women 1st, the thought leadership and training programme designed to help females working in the hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism sector achieve their career aspirations, has appointed Simone Roche as director of diversity.

Women 1st, the thought leadership and training programme designed to help females working in the hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism sector achieve their career aspirations, has appointed Simone Roche as director of diversity.
Established by People 1st, the sector skills council, Women 1st has supported more than 700 women with tailored training and mentoring support since its inception in 2009.Roche will be working closely with employers across the sector to drive gender diversity within senior management teams and secure corporate members to the Women 1st programme.
Before joining Women 1st, Simone worked as client services manager at LOCOG, the London 2012 Organising Committee, where she was working with key London 2012 marketing partners to deliver their operational planning for this year’s Games.
Before that, Simone was the director of information and guidance at People 1st, spearheading its UKSP website which is the central resource for skills and careers information for the hospitality and travel industry.
