Irish IT consultancy and managed services provider Version 1 is the first company to use a new social referral solution from recruitment software firm Zartis.
The web-based solution from Cork-based, all-in-one recruitment software company Zartis utilises social media to attract and recruit new candidates. The solution draws on employees’ social media connections, so anyone recommending someone who is later hired by Version 1 can expect a bonus of up to €2k (£1,640).
Version 1 HR director Jarlath Dooley says the firm sees social referral “as a game changer in recruitment”, due to cost savings and “more importantly [because] referrals are undoubtedly better hires – great people know other great people”.
He also notes that with 300 employees, with an average 150 first degree connections on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, the firm theoretically has access to 45,000 degree connections.
