International recruitment consultancy Humanis Group has acquired Queensland, Australia-based mining staffing firm Gnomic Exploration Services.

Gnomic was founded in 1985 and supplies the minerals and energy industries in Australia and overseas, currently generating over AUS$12m [£7.8m] annual revenue.
The deal will officially complete on 1 May, with Gnomic resuming its operations from the Humanis offices in Townsville, Queensland.
