Hundreds of new jobs will be created by motor manufacturer Nissan at its new manufacturing centre in Dalian, Liaoning Province in China due to be built as part of its joint venture with Dongfeng Motor Company.

The investment of ¥5,000 (£505m) will see the new facility hit an annual production capacity of 150,000 units by 2014, expanding later to 300,000.As reported previously by recruiter.co.uk (17 May), a UK plant producing Vauxhalls was due to add 700 new workers on top of the existing workforce to start a three-shift working pattern, producing a minimum of 160,000 vehicles a year, meaning the new plant in China will have a staff running well into four digits.
