Online recruiter and job board operator JobServe saw turnover increase by 22% in the year ending 30 September 2011, as operating profit more than quadrupled.
Turnover rose to £11.6m, while operating profit was £4.2m.The directors’ report accompanying the results says: “The economy appears to be recovering slowly and business confidence is slowly returning… however, it is uncertain when UK businesses will feel sufficiently confident to start recruiting again in large number.”
It adds that it is “uncertain” how recruitment and recruitment spend in the company’s public sector clients will be affected by government spending cuts.
