Year-on-year growth in online recruitment activity across Europe stood at just 1% in June, reports jobsite Monster.
This is according to the Monster Employment Index (MEI), a survey of job opportunities across a number of jobsites and web pages.The year-on-year growth of the MEI stood at 6% in the previous two months. Having been as high as 25% in March and April 2011, it stood above the 15% mark for the whole of 2011 until December.
In line with last month's survey, environment, architecture and urbanism remained the industry experiencing the most growth by a long way. Germany was the only country in significant growth at 11%, with others either stagnant or in decline, with the Netherlands seeing the most significant year-on-year drop (-20%).
