Healthcare giant announces plans to buy healthcare services company

Nestor Healthcare is planning to buy another healthcare recruitment company, the Healthcall Group.

At an extraordinary general meeting of the company held today, shareholders approved the plans to acquire the provider of service staff for GPs.

The shareholders agreed with the plans to acquire HCMS, the holding company of the Healthcall Group.

In a press release, Nestor said the acquisition would provide opportunities for it to expand its range of services to the primary care sector.

The Healthcall Group operates from 100 locations across the UK and provides police surgeons, locums, permanent medical staff, nurses and care staff .

A branch of the company called the Health Professionals Association provides nurses and carers, mainly to social services, with another branch, Euromed, providing locums and permanent medical staff.

Another branch, the Forensic Medical Services provides police surgeons.

Nestor Healthcare owns the British Nursing Association (BNA), Britain’s largest nursing and care agency, which has a register of more than 126,000 workers and operates from 160 locations.
