Still time to win
The deadline for entries for Professional Recruiter’s Awards for Excellence in Recruitment and Employment has been extended to Friday 7 December following requests from readers for more time to put together their submissions.
Launched to recognise the phenomenal growth and success of the industry in recent years, a Recruiter award will be the definitive recognition of excellence in recruitment practice.
The awards, which take place at the Dorchester hotel in London on 21 March, will be hosted by TV presenter Gabby Logan. Entrants will be judged by a panel of leading personalities from the worlds of HR and recruitment, who work across a range of industries, from retail to media.
To ensure transparency and objectivity, awards will be given on the basis of factual information provided by entrants. We have relaxed the entry criteria for sectoral awards, because of the number of companies who had difficulty supplying revenue information in the middle of their financial year. Recruiters are free to provide the percentage of their revenue which is derived from the category entered for, rather than the actual figures.
We are also pleased to announce our distinguished panel of judges. They are: Clare Chapman, group HR director of Tesco; Nicholas Mabin, director of recruitment at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young; Simon Marquiss, managing director of Zenith Media; Dominic Mills, editorial director of Campaign magazine; Ken Donald, HR director of Samsung and Miles Broadbent, a founding partner of Norman Broadbent who now heads up The Miles Partnership.
The judging panel will be chaired by Recruiter editor Philip McMullan, who will have the deciding vote in the event of a tie.
There are 15 awards in total, covering a broad spread of industry sectors, as well as prizes for innovation in marketing, use of the web and a Gold Award for the firm which most impresses the judges.
For those who believe their company is good enough to win an accolade, full details and entry forms can be found in the awards section of on this website.
