Morson Group has acquired Commissioning and Technical Services (CTS) from CTS Group (Holdings) for a cash consideration of up to £1.35m dependant on the net assets at completion. Based in Blackpool, Altrincham, Derby and Croydon, CTS uses roughly 300 contractors. It specialises in providing staff to the oil and gas, aerospace and general engineering sectors. During the year ended 31 July 2006, the operations of CTS acquired by Morson achieved turnover of some £15m and net fee income of circa £1.1m.
Aquent has acquired Recruit Media, a London-based firm specialising in the digital, editorial, print design and production staffing markets. "This will help us deepen our market penetration and take us into some new business areas," said Stefan Ciecierski, Aquent's managing director Europe. The deal follows Aquent's recent acquisition of Pricejamieson.
Rotherham Borough Council has awarded a three-year, £7.5m master vendor contract to Dutton International. Sheffield-based Dutton will administer the supply of temporary staff in manual trades, social care, administration and clerical, finance and IT. Dutton has been supplying Rotherham council with staff since 2002.
Dillistone Systems has won a contract worth more than £100,000 to supply its FILEFINDER software and associated services to SpenglerFox, a global executive search group, part of Grafton.
