Pertemps has acquired a 51% stake in RGB, a recruiter of architects, surveyors and other white collar professional staff. John Smith, director of Pertemps Ventures, told Recruiter the price paid for the stake was "well into six figures". RGB's head office is in Exeter. It has an annual turnover of some £10m and about 50 staff. Smith said: "We've been a bit player in these fields, and we wanted to get bigger. We were looking at acquisitions, and this one came along." Richard George Bruce, who founded RGB, will be staying with the company.
US executive search firm Charles Aris has selected HireDesk, a division of Talent Technology Corp, to help "improve and automate" its processes. Chad Oakley, VP business development at Charles Aris said: "We selected HireDesk because it is the only recruitment solution that can easily be tailored based on our unique and proprietary 14-step recruiting process."
Leicester-based agency Aptus Personnel has taken a 60% stake in Creyf's, a northern recruiter. Creyf's has five branches, 34 staff and an annual turnover of £45m. Aptus said the investment marked the start of a series of additions it hoped to make which would see its turnover grow to £80m in the next few years. Aptus managing director Phil McTaggart said Creyf's had greater experience in commercial and permanent recruitment, complementing Aptus' experience in the public service, driving, industrial and catering sectors.
Liverpool-based Simply Recruiting has recently won a contract to supply German firm Bosch with call centre and multilingual staff for its Liverpool Communications Centre. Bosch moved to Liverpool in 2003.
