Shareholders at hospitality recruiter Berkeley Scott have voted at an EGM to agree to a deal that will see an injection of £2.5m into the company.
Shareholders at hospitality recruiter Berkeley Scott have voted at an EGM to agree to a deal that will see an injection of £2.5m into the company. John Bowmer and Tony Reeves, former chief executives at Adecco and Hotgroup respectively, will become co-chairmen of the company and are putting up the cash for a 62.6% stake (Recruiter, 10 January).
Liverpool-based recruitment consultancy MKonsult has formed a new division to manage a £250,000 recruitment drive for GE Money. The new division, called Watermark Resourcing, will be headed by Gill Dooley. GE Money is to recruit staff for its call centre operations in Leeds and Newcastle. The contract has created five new positions at Watermark.
Signet UK, the jewellery company that owns H Samuel and Ernest Jones, has selected StepStone's i-GRasp to process and manage all applicant information for retail management and head office vacancies. StepStone claims i-GRasp will also help Signet UK's HR team to improve time to hire and reduce recruitment agency and newspaper advertising spend. Tracey Norris, HR service centre manager for Signet UK, said: "Although we've been using i-GRasp for a relatively short time, we're now receiving a greater number of quality CVs than ever before."
London-based Krown Recruitment is to use the cashplus card system of APS, giving agency staff access to a "virtual bank account". They can load the card at the Post Office. The card has proved popular with staff from eastern Europe. It is accepted at 24m retail outlets and 1m ATM locations worldwide.
