Are you on the shortlist for the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2007?

A blue-chip panel of professionals from the recruitment, HR, government, corporate finance and City analysis arenas have decided the shortlist for all but one category in the industry's most prestigious Awards — for which Thomas International is the headline sponsor for the fifth year.

"The standard of entries has been very good," said Brian Wilkinson, Commonwealth zone manager for recruitment giant Vedior, who chaired the proceedings. "And there was a good mix of specialist and traditional, and large and small."

A new touch to the Awards this year was the involvement by 'the winners' circle' of winning companies and an individual in the 2006 competition. This panel separately adjudicated the Recruitment-to-Recruitment category (Category 10).

The revised entry and judging procedures this year provided the judges with stronger information and clearer criteria to identify those firms most worthy of recognition for their excellence in service.

The ultimate accolade will be presented to the category winner that most impresses the judges in an overall Gold category, sponsored by McCall. Another special award, the Gary Clark Award, will be presented to an individual for his or her outstanding contribution to the recruitment industry.

The Recruiter Awards for Excellence are the ultimate recognition of recruitment practice. The gala awards presentation will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 27 March. More than 1,000 guests are expected to attend.
