IT firm gets star ATSCo award
IT firm Aston Carter scooped the ATSCo Corporate Member of the Year award after being tipped as the ‘one to watch’ in last year’s awards.
Chief executive Sean Zimdahl collected the award from sponsor JSA Services at ATSCo’s fifth annual charity ball held on 15 October.
The awards were established to reward ATSCo members that have “most consistently demonstrated the professional values associated with ATSCo membership over the last 12 months”.
Winner of ATSCo Individual Member of the Year was Bill Bottriel, deputy chairman of Sthree, while the award for ATSCo Affiliate Member of the Year went to Matthew Brown, managing director of giant group.
The company judged to have introduced the most innovative and pioneering idea to the IT staffing sector was Broadbean Technology. And the ATSCo/NSPCC Award for Charity Fundraising went to Ajilon Group. The ball raised £60,000 for the NSPCC, mostly through an auction of lots donated by ATSCo members which included trips to Russia and Las Vegas and a shirt signed by rugby’s Lawrence Dallaglio.
ATSCo chief executive Ann Swain said she was “delighted at the enthusiasm and competitive spirit shown at this year’s awards”.
