Job boards are more than capable of handling high volumes of business for large corporations, according to the operations director of Jobs4Medical.co.uk, which has just signed a deal with healthcare giant BUPA.

Jobs4Medical.co.uk has signed a deal with BUPA to provide its online recruitment service for all 26 of its UK hospitals.

The deal, the terms of which have not been disclosed, was signed after a successful two-month pilot scheme last year, which resulted in more than 700 candidates applying for 41 advertised clinical and senior management jobs.

Vicky Scott, operations manager at Jobs4Medical.co.uk, said: "We've no concerns about handling the volume of work. We've shown we can deliver what BUPA wants us to deliver."

The Jobs4Medical.co.uk partnership is part of a wider HR recruitment initiative that will see BUPA broaden its methods of recruitment, to include the internet. Jobs4Medical has signed a rolling contract with BUPA, and it will recruit medical professionals, such as nurses, and senior management positions for the company.

Jobs4Medical currently has 41,000 candidates on its database and was launched in October 2005.
