Marcus Brigstocke proved a popular choice to host the Recruiter Awards. The comedian and satirist took to the stage early in the evening and was there to present every winner with their award.

He did, however, confess: "I'm never sure whether I should be in these pictures or not." But he was. This showed him in a slightly uncoventional form of dress. He said: "I know you're probably thinking: 'That's a lot of corduroy for one man. Is he a supply teacher who's turned up at the wrong event?' "
