Parker Bridge has new name
Financial and office support recruiter Parker Bridge has changed its name to Poolia Parker Bridge to reflect its new status as part of a European professional staffing group.
Parker Bridge announced the sale of its shares to Swedish recruitment group Poolia in January 2004.
Poolia is listed on the Swedish Stock Exchange and provides recruitment services in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Germany.
“Parker Bridge’s strong position provided us with an excellent platform for establishing a UK operation,” said Poolia chief executive Erik Strand. "It is a healthy and profitable company with considerable growth potential and a corporate culture that closely matches our own.”
Mark Widnall, managing director of Poolia Parker Bridge, said: “It’s important that all our employees feel part of the same team, and the name change is a further step in this direction.
“Additionally we are looking at a number of potential new offices throughout the UK, and are looking forward to turning Poolia Parker Bridge into one of the strongest brands in financial and office support recruitment.”
Parker Bridge was established in 1989 and specialises in commercial, financial services and public sector recruitment. It has offices in central London, Reading and Edinburgh.
