Get ready to dazzle your recruitment industry peers. It’s time to share your company’s creativity, quality of service and business successes over the last year by entering the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2006, supported by Thomas International.

Entries are being accepted now in nearly 20 categories for Recruiter’s annual awards, which will be presented in high style at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 30 March 2006. A celebrity host to be named later in the year will present the awards and entertain the crowd. More than 1,000 people attended the gala 2005 awards event.

For the fourth year in a row, Thomas International is the headline sponsor.

Because of the awards’ increasing popularity, a significant change is being made this year in how they are adjudicated. A panel of at least 15 judges – three times the number from previous years – will scrutinise the entries, determine the shortlist and decide the winners.

“The overwhelming number of entries led to a tremendous workload for the judges,” said DeeDee Doke, editor of Recruiter. “This year, the increased number of judges mean a more manageable workload for them, as well as an even more thorough judging process for the entries.”

Competitors will also benefit from the increased breadth of professional experience and industry familiarity represented by the judging panel, which includes well-respected professionals from the recruitment industry, senior HR figures from high-profile companies and the academic and research community. The judges will be named in the 21 September issue of Recruiter.

Participants in the 2005 awards celebration gave the event rave reviews. “We all had a great evening,” said Paul Clark, managing director of Penta Consulting. “It was a really good event, immaculately organised and brilliantly delivered.”
