Morson and OPD release updates

Morson is due to report that its trading in the financial year to date has been in line with expectations.

At its Annual General Meeting Ged Mason (pictured), chief executive, said: “Morson’s core aerospace, defence and rail operations continue to perform strongly and Morson Projects, the Group’s specialist design consultancy, continues to benefit from on-going contracts with BAE and Airbus.

“The directors believe that Morson is well positioned to benefit from the continued strong market conditions and are confident of the Group’s prospects.”

OPD Group, which owns Odgers, also held its AGM today. Chairman Peter Hearn said: “During the first four months of 2007 market conditions have remained positive and net fee income was 22% higher than the comparative period for last year.”

He added that the company expects it annual results to be inline with expectations.
