Vedior reports profit rise

Recruitment giant sees gross profit and operating income ride in the third quarter of the year

Vedior, which includes recruitment brands Select Appointments, Abraxas, Joslin Rowe and MOT Models, has reported a 16% growth in gross profit in the third quarter of the year to €365.9m.

Operating income increased 25% to €82.8m in the third quarter, compared with €65.6m in the same quarter last year.

Chief executive Zach Miles says: “We continue to focus on improving profitability which has resulted in gross profit increasing faster than sales and an improved operating margin of 4.1%. In this respect, we have made particularly good progress in France, the Netherlands and Australia.”

The company reported that the UK saw positive gains in both operating income and sales. Professional/ executive recruitment achieved better growth in sales and profitability this quarter.

Vedior has also announced that Albemarle Interim Management, its interim management subsidiary, has acquired a 70% interest in Armadillo UK, a UK interim management company.
