“Getting to grips” with the Agency Workers Regulations was key to Louise McCarthy-Teague, group HR director at Meridian Business Support, landing the award for Recruitment Personality of the Year at last night’s Recruiter Awards for Excellence, supported by Innovate CV.

At a glittering awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane in London, McCarthy-Teague was recognised for her “proactive, passionate and altruistic” approach in “galvanising” the recruitment industry to respond to the business and ethical challenges of the impending regulations in October.

Also nominated in this category were founder and former chairman of the Reed staffing and learning empire Sir Alec Reed, RBS’s Susan Bor, Randstad Financial & Professional’s Tara Ricks, and Nokia’s Greg Allen.
