Vodafone and First Direct drop Facebook advertising
Vodafone and First Direct have stopped advertising on Facebook after their advertisements appeared next to a web page for the British National Party, the far-right political organisation, reports the Financial Times.
Some employers have been using Facebook as a recruiting tool in the wake of its popularity.
The incident is indicative of some of the risks faced by advertisers when they embrace the fast-growing social networking web genre.
