Apply Altra on hunt for engineers

Oil & gas consultancy Apply Altra is on the hunt for experienced engineers to help double its workforce within Aberdeen.

Apply Altra, which has recruited nearly 10 additional engineers since its launch in May, intends to take on a further 45 members of staff by next spring to bring the total number of employees to 100.

Current vacancies include roles for experienced engineers in disciplines, including process, structural, piping, instrumentation and technical safety.

Apply Altra managing director, Agnar Kongshaug, says: “We are only 10% of the way towards meeting our target on recruitment, and are still actively looking for additional candidates. We need to fill a variety of posts: we want to recruit both senior experienced engineers and less experienced engineers who are at the start of their careers and who we can help to develop through mentoring and support.

“It is a very busy market at the moment, but we believe there is a huge amount of skill in Aberdeen and across the rest of the Scotland that we can draw upon to continue to develop a base of expertise here in the North-East.”
