Engineering sector recruitment firm Orion has appointed Ross MacRae to the role of group human resources director.

MacRae will be based in the company’s head office in Inverness.

MacRae has 20 years industry experience having previously worked for energy and engineering industry service providers Wood Group, Subsea 7 and Halliburton.

MacRae says: “My key strengths are my knowledge of recruitment related legislation, policy support and operational awareness. I will be advising the group and clients about the intricacies of new contracts and provide strategic advice on how to avoid potential liabilities, which are unfortunate yet avoidable employment law pitfalls.”
