Appointments: Scope secures director of HR

Malcolm Chew has been appointed executive director of HR and organisational development at disability charity Scope.

Malcolm Chew has been appointed executive director of HR and organisational development at disability charity Scope.

Chew, who joins from Serco where he was divisional HR director, will be responsible for the charity’s approach to managing and developing its 3,500 staff and more than 7,000 volunteers, working across service delivery, retail, fundraising and support functions.

He joins Scope in mid February.

Scope’s chief executive Richard Hawkes says: “I am delighted to welcome Malcolm to Scope at such an exciting time for our organisation. We have a clear and inspiring vision and have recently agreed an ambitious strategy which will see many parts of Scope transforming over the coming years.”
