Global executive search firm Boyden has appointed Betty Thayer to the board of the firm’s UK office as a non-executive director.
Thayer founded and served as deputy chair and chief executive of executive jobs site Exec-Appointments and non-execs.com, a site for non-executive directors. Both businesses were bought by the Financial Times in 2007.
Before then, she spent 20 years in management consulting, most recently as a partner at professional services firm Ernst & Young in London.
John Ellis, managing partner, Boyden UK, says: “Betty is an authority on the role of non-executive director and on management consulting and we are honoured to welcome her to Boyden’s UK board.”
