Association for trainers is formed_2
The Association of Professional Trainers (APT) has been set up by five of Scotland’s leading trainers to provide ongoing monitoring and assessment for training professionals.
APT will ensure its members are offering training of the highest quality through rigorous biannual assessment.
Jenny Lambie, from the Lambie Gilchrist Consultancy and a founding member of APT, says: “It is hard to believe that in an industry that touches so many business sectors there is no uniform and ongoing quality assurance system in place, but that is the reality of the situation.
“Training professionals across the country have shown a huge amount of interest in APT because they understand that a rigorously assessed quality assurance scheme is essential for the development of their business and for industry as a whole. More and more trainers are enquiring every day and we firmly believe that we will have in excess of 100 APT quality assured trainers by March 2007.”
Trainers signing up to the APT quality mark will be closely monitored and evaluated and a database of quality approved trainers will be available online to anyone looking to access ‘quality approved’ training professionals.
