Recruiter is delighted to be able to announce the shortlist for the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2004, supported by psychometric assessment provider Thomas International.

It was no mean feat reaching the shortlist this year, as the number of entries was up 40% on last year. So congratulations to all finalists in the awards.

Recruiter would like to thank our panel of judges, all major players in the HR and recruitment world.

They were: Peter Bedford, head of recruitment, Royal Mail (though its recruitment communications manager Martyn Rowbotham kindly stepped in for Peter on the day); John Cullen, head of HR sourcing at Barclays; Andy Good, HR director at TubeLines; Paul Nolan, HR director at the Football Association; Liz Nottingham, HR director at the Thresher Group; and Nikki Rolfe, HR director at L’Oréal UK.

The category winners will be announced during the lunchtime awards ceremony on 1 April at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.

Two other awards will also be announced on the day: the Gold Award and the Gary Clark Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Recruitment Profession.
