Accountancy and finance recruiter Badenoch & Clark has seen its profits fall in 2009.

In the year ending 3 January 2010, profits were £9.89m compared with £11.81m in the previous year. Turnover fell to £242.6m from £254.9m in 2008.

In their report the directors state: “Both the level of business and the year-end financial position were satisfactory. The directors believe the company is well positioned to maintain its financial status in the current economic downturn due to its strong foundation, diverse markets and flexible cost structure.”

Badenoch & Clark’s former parent company, MPS Group, was acquired by Adecco in January 2010.
