Over a third of companies fail to sell their organisation to their workers, a new survey from multi-sector recruiter Badenoch & Clark shows.
The survey also highlighted the ways in which people find out about potential new employers. Most candidates do some sort of research, relying on current colleagues (17%) and current employees of the company in question (16%.) One in five (19%) do not put in any research of a company before an interview.
Neil Wilson, managing director of Badenoch & Clark, says: “From the day new employees walk through the door, it seems their perceptions of an employer start to fall. Interestingly, the trend is even more pronounced among HR professionals, the very ones who often have the responsibility for framing and managing an employer’s brand.”
