Broadbean's Martin has ambitious expansion and investment plans
Martin: we need to be a global business
The new managing director of Broadbean Technology is embarking on ambitious geographic and product expansion plans over the next three to five years for the company best known now for its job ad multi-posting capabilities.
An Australian office was being launched “as we speak” as a third regional head office, Dan Martin told Recruiter. Broadbean’s other main offices are in London and Los Angeles, with teams operating out of London also serving France and the Netherlands. Its job distribution network has coverage across 55 countries and 1,500 job boards.
“We think we need to be a global business underpinned by significant investment,” Martin said. Expansion plans were being fuelled by “huge demands” from multi-national clients, he added. Product expansion will see Broadbean aim to become a “single point for sourcing talent”, Martin said. “Global leadership in the sourcing of talent is a real opportunity for us. We see ourselves as a search business, no question about it.”
Broadbean’s Stream multiple CV searching product currently allows users to simultaneously search multiple online job board databases along with companies’ own talent pools for candidates. However, Martin said products under development will “broaden out what we search in social media and the web generally”.
Part of Broadbean’s growth over the next few years will depend on what Martin described as “significant partnerships” but he emphasised that the company had fared well in spite of challenging economic conditions.
“This business has grown through the recession,” he said. “It’s not a business that needs fixing.”
Martin, who has served on Broadbean’s board since the business was acquired by A&N Media (ANM), takes the helm from long-time MD Dan McGuire, who steps down on 10 November.
